1. How does SureTransact charge me for using the system?

An initial registration fee, a small monthly admin fee and a cost per transaction are the only charges we levy.

2. When does SureTransact require my data and money?

Data must be loaded onto the system prior to the daily cut off times in order for the system to pay/collect files on the selected action date. SureTransact will collect its fees via a monthly debit order on your account.

3. What happens if I wish to change my payroll system?

You need to advise SureTransact in advance and we will make the necessary adjustments to make the process as simple as possible for your company.

4. Does SureTransact interface with my payroll system?

SureTransact has the capability to interface with most payroll systems on the market.

5. What are the legal considerations concerning internet transactions and will the banking community accept it?

SureTransact is a subsidiary of the SA Payment Exchange Pty Ltd - an accredited and licensed member of PASA (Payment association of South Africa). PASA is an institution set up in conjunction with the South African Reserve Bank. Please visit www.pasa.org.za for more information.

6. What changes will my company need to make in order to adopt your system?

We try to ensure the process is a seamless one and by interfacing with your payroll provider changes are negligible. An ABSA transactional account will be opened to facilitate the flow of funds. If the customer has a leased line, the destination address must change to SureTransact’s address.

7. Will the system ensure that all data information uploaded is accurate and validated?

Yes, we validate all data according to BANKSERV's requirements. However, the authoriser at the customer side must validate accuracy.

8. Does the system cater for multiple users on the same platform or account?

Yes, it allows for an unlimited number of users as long as authorised by your company’s account administrator.

9. Can your system process both payments and collections on the same platform?

Yes and in addition, it has the capability to provide Accountholder verification and Beneficiary management.

10. Our banking relationship is important to our company; will we need to change this in order to use your services?

As ABSA is our sponsoring bank, we will facilitate the opening of a free account with them on behalf of the client specifically for payments and collections related to your company. No other action is required, so the integrity of your banking relationship can remain unchanged.

11. Is there a contractual sign up period?

There is no fixed contractual period to which your company is bound and system operations can cease at your convenience.

12. What level of support can our administrators and users expect?

Each customer has a dedicated Key Account Manager to handle any queries on their behalf. We will also have a technical team available at all times to assist with any technical issues that arise.

13. How can we be sure that the system will process all transactions accurately and on time?

OPMS (Online Payments Management System) provides the status of the batch (e.g. Authorisation required, stopped, pending or successful) and of each transaction in the batch (e.g. CDV failed, stopped etc).

14. How different is your reporting and reconciliation functionality from our current service provider?

SureTransact makes it possible to search and filter historic transactions online - as far as 5 years back. All reports will indicate and match original transactions and have an online statement available.

15. How secure and confidential is the data or files submitted through your system?

All data is encrypted before it is sent through a secure connection and is protected by SureVault while the data is in transit.

16. How difficult is the user interface - will we require extensive training?

The system is very simple to operate and navigate, however SureTransact will provide initial training to help clients get familiar with the technology and system operations.

17. Does your system provide stage-by-stage process feedback?

Yes, OPMS (Online Payment Management System) indicates all outstanding tasks as you log on and the system emails important milestones such as when an authorisation is required.

18. Does SureTransact have your own internal IT technical development and support?

PAYTEQ - our sister company, handle our technical support at no cost to your company.

19. Will my company need additional IT support to integrate our system to accommodate your service?

No changes to your system are necessary. SureTransact will ensure the system change over is as seamless as possible.

20. Will my messaging formats or other functionality have to change to accommodate your services?

Selecting and using the SureTransact formats is as simple as a click on the right button.

21. We currently have a dedicated leased line with our provider, are any additional costs required from our side to duplicate this agreement?

You will have to instruct your provider with the change of address.

22. Will your system enhance the turnaround time of uploading and downloading required to submit files?

The file exchanges are exceptionally fast and for host-to-host communication. BANKSERV determines cut-off times and it is applicable to all.

23. Do we have to upload data on the specific transaction date or in advance?

Data can be uploaded on a ‘post dated’ basis or at anytime as long as the daily cut off times are adhered to.

24. What happens if we cannot transmit directly through to your service centre?

If the internet is down, a 3G modem must be your backup. If your leased line is down, you can use the internet as backup. SureTransact has an extensive Disaster Recovery programme to safeguard your files.
